The mood
Relaxed, intimate and very us. Good food, good music, lots of laughter and a long evening by the sea.
Rhodes · 4 October 2027
One island. Our people & a day we’ll never forget.
How we got here

Rhodes has always been special to us. Kirsten spent so many summers there that she probably knows the island better than the Netherlands, and Gonzalo was sold pretty much immediately.
On one of our first visits together, we rented a tiny tourist boat for a few hours, found a little secret bay and spent the afternoon swimming and drinking. Somewhere along the way we said: how nice would it be to have our own boat one day? Well… that escalated quickly. That little boat trip turned into buying our own boat, moving aboard straight away and, three boats later, making the sea our home. So getting married in Rhodes just made sense. One special island, one beautiful day, and all our favourite people. ❤️
The way we do life: together, free and a little unpredictable — and that is how this day should feel.

The celebration
Everyone is invited for the full celebration. The ceremony, dinner and party all happen in one special place on the east coast of Rhodes.
We will share the meeting point and final route closer to the wedding. From there, the afternoon and evening unfold together.
Relaxed, intimate and very us. Good food, good music, lots of laughter and a long evening by the sea.
The final dress code is coming soon. Festive, but comfortable. There are plenty of steps and some uneven ground, so maybe leave the impossible shoes at home.
Little ones are very welcome to celebrate with us.
Getting to Rhodes
Arrive on 3 October or earlier, so the wedding day starts without a rush. Staying longer is highly encouraged.
Book the route that works for you. Country-specific suggestions will be added as soon as they are ready.
A rental car is recommended if you want to explore. We are looking into a group discount for guests.
Allow roughly €70 from the airport to the east coast. This is an indication; confirm the fare before travelling.
Where to stay
Look around Stegna, Haraki, Kolymbia, Archangelos or elsewhere on the east coast. Guests book and pay for their own stay; we can help if you would like a second pair of eyes.
An accommodation guide with our favourite areas, recommended stays and practical tips for where to stay will be coming online soon.

Before you pack
The setting includes 200–300 steps, slopes, sand and uneven ground. Guests with limited mobility can request special transport in advance. Please tell Irisa privately in your RSVP so arrangements can be confirmed.
The celebration is planned outdoors. Bring sun protection and something light for later in the evening. If the weather changes, an indoor backup is available.
Vegetarian, vegan, children's and alcohol-free options will be available. Share allergies, religious dietary needs and other requirements in the RSVP.
We love travelling light, so please avoid physical gifts. Unless it’s a ball. Tinto loves balls.

Take photos, share them and help us remember every angle of the day. A shared album will follow after the celebration. Please be thoughtful when posting photos of children.

Rhodes is more than the backdrop to one day. Our personal list of beaches, villages, restaurants and easy family outings is on its way.
